The curatorial brief: "Understanding the unknown is like trying to understand a void, nothingness. It is the'X', the place or thing that is unexplainable. As children we searched for hidden treasure marked on the map by the X and wondered what we would find there, now as adults we wonder and contemplate the unknown of life and the world around us |
The works created for this exhibition are triggered by following calls and intuitions to paths into experiences
with nature; to trust, to be led, to peek behind the veil to find glimpses of unity and connection - signs of many worlds which enrich life and strengthen the spirit. When are you coming home?' is inspired by journeying and journalling in recent years in South Australia, Northern Queensland, the Northern Territory and through the great spacious centre. In a state of Wonder Wander, 'X' is a constant companion and driving force.
